Be Thou My Vision

I don't want to be an Israelite. I don't want to be rescued from Egypt again and again.
I am, by my flesh, an Israelite in my actions.  I return to the bondage of my Egypt.  The Lord, keeping his promise and glorifying his name, rescues me.  I fail to remember that should I stay with this hero, he would keep me from my Egypt.  Alas I go rouge and am forced to partake in grace upon grace.  Thank you Lord Jesus for grace upon grace.

Be thou my vision o ruler of all.
